I'm unable to collect the key in the first area of the game. I'm facing it and pressing space? Is there something else I need to be doing?

You need some thing to move the key up so you can reach it.

The game is interesting, the combination of puzzle and FPS is curious, but in my opinion, the game needs to improve the look, both in fonts, menus and puzzles. This game has good potential for more. Keep it up!
